The e-GM project is being implemented by PPDA and will provide an online marketplace which shall connect buyers (government's ministries, departments and agencies) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), allowing them to conduct business transactions in a more streamlined and efficient manner.
e-Government Marketplace
The Electronic Government Marketplace (e-GM)
Why is e-GM important?
- Provides a centralized platform for buyers and suppliers to interact, which increases transparency and accountability. This transparency can help prevent corruption and ensure that the procurement process is fair and open
- Reduces the time and cost associated with traditional procurement methods, such as tendering and bidding. The e-GM will enable the PDEs to pre-qualify suppliers based on their qualifications, experience, and past performance. Once suppliers are pre-qualified, they can be invited to bid on contracts, making the procurement process more efficient and cost-effective.
