PPDA STAFF
The Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) has intensified its internal capacity building efforts through a dedicated refresher staff training on the Malawi National Electronic Procurement System (MANePS).
The training is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that PPDA staff are fully equipped with the knowledge and technical skills required to support the nationwide rollout and effective implementation of the system.
Speaking during the training, the Acting Director General Timothy Kalembo challenged staff to position themselves as pioneers of MANePS, emphasizing their critical role in driving adoption across Government.
He underscored the need for staff to lead by example, demonstrating confidence and competence in using the system as they engage with Procuring and Disposing Entities (PDEs).
The Acting Director General further highlighted that PPDA staff will be at the forefront of providing hands-on support to Government institutions, particularly in guiding them to successfully upload their Annual Procurement Plans on MANePS.
This approach is expected to strengthen compliance, improve planning processes, and enhance transparency and efficiency in Public Procurement.
