The Authority has donated vehicles, computers, and other essential office equipment to Kawale Police Station and Lilongwe Fiscal Police. Speaking during the handover ceremony, which took place at the Authority’s offices in Lilongwe, the Director General of Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA), Dr. Edington Chilapondwa, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with key institutions such as the police.

Dr. Chilapondwa expressed his satisfaction with the Authority’s ability to contribute to the operational efficiency of the police. “For us, it is an honour that we are able to give these things to you,” he stated. He further encouraged the recipient institutions to take good care of the donated items, emphasizing that the vehicles could serve them effectively for the next two years as they work towards acquiring new ones.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Kawale Police, Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Davie Chilalire, expressed gratitude, noting that the donation had come at a crucial time. “One of the vehicles will be given to our traffic department to help in their operations,” he said, highlighting the positive impact the donation will have on law enforcement activities.
